General Job Description: The main role of the senior Auditor is to carry out audit programs within assigned functions, develop audit observations and make recommendation to remedy flaws in the internal control system. In this context, he will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the activities of the audited function, evaluating the control system and suggesting improvements that would help the Group achieve its objectives.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Under the guidance of Assistant Manager or Audit Supervisor, the Senior Auditor: -
1) Develop full understanding of the activities of the audited functions by thoroughly examining previous audit reports and relevant material to help in identifying risk areas.
2) Survey functions and activities in assigned areas, review & document its processes and determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of the control system.
3) Attend meetings to determine the direction and thrust of the proposed audit efforts.
4) Prepare and adjust audit programs.
5) Carry out assigned audit programs in compliance with professional standards.
6) Obtain, analyze, and evaluate evidentiary data as a basis for an informed, objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency of performance of the activities being reviewed.
7) Prepare oral or written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the examination, discussing deficiencies and recommending preventive or corrective action.
8) Prepare formal written reports, as requested, expressing opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control system and the efficiency with which activities are carried out.
9) Evaluating the adequacy of the corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions.
10) Carry out special audit assignments and do other duties as assigned.
