Our client an Events Management company which is the Master Franchise of Middle East is seeking to hire a Supply Chain Manager
DESCRIPTION
 Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and services.

 Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.

 Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations for purchasing and shipments.

 Negotiate, or renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.

 Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.

 Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.

 Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories.

 Review catalogues, industry periodicals, directories, trade journals, and internet sites, and consults with other department personnel to locate necessary goods and services.

 Study sales records and inventory levels of current stock to develop strategic purchasing programs that facilitate employee access to supplies.

 Monitor changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends, or futures markets.

 Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products.

 Arrange for disposal of surplus materials

 Check, process and monitor requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment by other departments.

 Follows up on all logistics till the goods arrive to our warehouses, including freight contracts, insurance, forwarders and others.

 Take care of filing of all purchase activities, whether local or foreign.

 Checks the pricing policy, especially in terms of costing, with the coordination of financial management.

 Keep track of payables for foreign / local suppliers, & custom duty & freight charges.

 Control purchasing department budgets.

 Monitor and Supervise warehouse and inventory controlling staff to ensure smooth and proper flow of work.

 Others when designated.

 Reports to the Operations Manager.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Prerequisites:

 Strong background in Supply Chain Management.

 Excellent communication skills to enable working across various functional

 Financial structuring, costing and pricing of new products and services.

 Ability to communicate product vision and work within cross-functional teams.

 Able to work under extreme pressures.

 Excellent time Management skills.

Requirements:

 Bachelors Degree (preferred Supply Chain or Logistics).
